We recently received this photo from Liza Potgieter, Office Manager of Think Farm Fresh Habata Farms. Habata is a farming company with operations in the fertile Sunday’s River Valley in the Eastern Cape and near Robertson in the Western Cape.
The worker committees identified a need for Canteen facilities that can provide staff with access to warm water in the winter time and to appliances to warm their food. Most workers do not have the benefit of these facilities and all permanent staff will now benefit from the canteen facilities which include an urn or kettle, a microwave oven and drinking water dispenser. It is also a convenient space to socialise while enjoying a meal or hot beverage. This photo was taken at Allandale.
