Workers from Panzi and Sonop in the Eastern Cape attended Worker Committee training that was being held over two days in mid-November. Raymond Engelbrecht, Waitrose Foundation Manager Farm Support, was in attendance to oversee the training programmes for multiple groups in the Eastern Cape during this period.
Two separate worker committee groups received a two day training programme. The one group from Grown4U gathered at Mentorskraal in Jeffrey's Bay on the 15th and 16th of November and the group from Panzi Citrus and Sonop had their training on the 18th and 19th at Sonop farm. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of the four days and we wished the committees a rewarding and successful journey ahead as they apply what they've learnt and take responsibility for this very important leadership function within their worker communities.
