The vegetable gardening project was the first project that the workers of Remhoogte decided to start off with their Foundation funds. A variety of vegetable are planted, i.e. tomatoes, green beans, butternut, squash, corn and potatoes. The vegetables are mainly sold to the farming community and management. Hilda was so impressed with the quality that she purchased a batch of green beans. Thanks for the support to all.

The project is now fully sustainable and for each planting season seeds we use our profit to buy seedlings. The profit last year was R1500. This year it reached to date R6000.We still have butternuts and hope to reach R7000 in profits. The committee agreed to pay for an outing early in February where the children were taken to Butterfly World. The committee will discuss more ideas on how to spend the money.
