After the workshop held by Spieel Arts Collective for the team from Madikwe Berry, below message was received from George Chenjera, General Manager of Madikwe Berry.
These photos were taken during the Reproductive Health Programme. The ladies worked with clay and received Reproductive Kits, including reusable menstrual cups and sanitary pads. About the use of clay, the facilitators said: "Clay responds to touch. Even the slightest touch to clay will leave an imprint. This, in our view, speaks to the message that we want our participants to arrive at during this session. One of the lessons is that their ability to make an impact and transform themselves and others is infinite, no matter where they find themselves. During the transformational journey, they may even be reshaping pain due to the loss of a loved one, a valued relationship, feelings of guilt, or just memories - good or bad. We hear from the participants what their experiences were during their journey with the clay."
