We prioritise and actively support - through projects on our partner farms - the access to opportunities through entrepreneurial and business education and training to improve workers' household income, their buying power, and opportunities for self-fulfilment.
Examples of such projects include income generating initiatives and entrepreneurial training. One example of a project that has been going on for a number of years on one of our grower partner farms is the Granny Smiths Sewing Project at Dennegeur in Grabouw. We visited the farm and specifically the Granny Smiths group during the week when the UK delegation spent some time with us in early May. These photos were taken while the ladies were hard at work in their sewing room on the farm, creating beautiful items for sale.
