We recently received these lovely photos from Goosen Farming’s Human Resource Manager, Angie Kraft, taken of their netball team in action at a recent match. The netball team members are all employed at the farm's packhouse and the team enrolled in the local league. Matches are played against other farm packhouse teams in the area on Saturdays. Angie regularly supports the team when they play matches on weekends.
As the Waitrose Foundation we support this project through funding of the team members' netball kit. Goosen Farming (along with exporter, Stems Fruit) recognises its social responsibilities towards its work force and their families. Educational, social and sport programmes are encouraged not only amongst the workers but also their children. We wish the Goosen Netball Team all the best for this winter season's matches.
