What a fun photo with a special moment created by the YearBeyond YeBoneers team team who has been busy on 11 different sites for two weeks during the winter school holiday period in the Witzenberg area.
The purpose of the programme was to keep the learners busy during the holiday period and also to keep them safe within their communities. The YeBoneers had to plan and implement these programmes, offering a range of activities that were fun, stimulating and constructive, also incorporating elements of numeracy and literacy. It was two weeks filled with fun and laughter but also with a very specific educational purpose.
Well done to the group and thank you to our Waitrose Foundation Regional Coordinator, Eleanor Louw, for her mentoring role in support of the YeBoneers in the Ceres area and as representative of the Foundation as one of the YearBeyond implementing partners.
