We enjoyed a very productive week in mid-August, visiting a number of our grower partners and exporters in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. On the road for site visits and meetings were our CEO, Kobus Visagie, and Emily Hendricks, our Export Liaison & Regional Manager (North).
One of their visits was to Westfalia Fruit. Enclosed photos were taken at the Waitrose Foundation supported Early Childhood Development Centre near Tzaneen. It was a delight to see the facilities, so well maintained and proudly overseen by the team who is responsible for up to 217 children.
This ECD Centre provides quality education and contributes to a good start to life for the children, and has also created full-time employment for 10 people. Most of the children's parents are employed by Westfalia Fruit and they have peace of mind knowing that their children are safe and well cared for while they are at work.
