Our much-anticipated two-day Project Coordinators Conference happened on 13 and 14 October 2023 at the Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch. We enjoyed the wonderful gathering of like-minded people, committed to the task at hand, bringing about positive impact on Waitrose Foundation partner farms across Southern Africa.
We had a very productive and informative first day of presentations by Waitrose Foundation team members, followed by a festive gala dinner. The second day was for small group sessions focusing on various topics as well as presentations by a number of our growers.
As the Waitrose Foundation Team, we expressed appreciation for every single project coordinator in attendance - for their commitment to be there, their participation and enthusiasm, and for engaging with us constructively. We learn and grow together towards greater impact for our beneficiaries. We also thanked our special speaker, Marlize Swanepoel, of Spieel Creative Arts Therapies Collective, for an inspiring message at our gala dinner. It most certainly hit the spot in many hearts.
