A Cooking Skills Development training course was held to improve nutrition awareness among staff and parents at partial care facilities, with 29 participants taking part. The training focused on understanding nutrition, preparing balanced meals, and promoting healthy eating habits in children.
As a result, cooks reported increased confidence in planning nutritious menus, using a variety of food groups, and making meals more appealing to children. Creative approaches, like storytelling and fun vegetable introductions, have made healthy eating more engaging. Parents also noticed positive changes, and improved communication between cooks and families has supported better nutrition at home.
