Jennerise Ziegelaar (20) works at the Partial Care Centre on Dennegeur Farm in Grabouw, where she has been supporting 30–35 children in aftercare since April 2023, helping with homework and providing additional guidance.

A product of the farm community and youth programmes supported by the Waitrose Foundation, Jennerise chose to delay her studies to take on family responsibilities and gain practical experience. She aspires to become a teacher—and ultimately a principal—and is currently mentored by Mercila Scholtz and Carina van Wyk. She values the growth and learning opportunities made possible through the Foundation.
